About Us

GM Launch Pad is coordinated by a Clinical Psychology Private Practice, Psychological Advantages LLC, owned by Dr. Nanette McDevitt, Licensed Psychologist.

Dr. McDevitt is fluent in American Sign Language, and a Licensed Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, in addition to being a Licensed Psychologist.  Her experience includes teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Deafblind children in grades K-12 at District 917 and Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD), coaching cheerleading and track at MSAD, facilitating social skills/parent education/mental illness support groups, providing individual/family/relationship therapy, and conducting a wide variety of psychological assessments. Dr. McDevitt completed Clinical Psychology practicum and intership experiences at Wiger & Associates, Scott County Mental Health Center and Washburn Center for Children. She also provided special education/psychological assessments at MSAD for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind children with a wide variety of secondary disabilities including neurological difficulties, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome,Developmental Delays, Autistic Disorder, CHARGE and Usher Syndrome.

Dr. McDevitt specializes in assessing and treating children with children with a wide variety of psychological diagnoses including Autistic Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder and Learning Disorders.        She is trained and experienced in providing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Attachment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 

In addition to Dr. McDevitt, other Clinical and School psychologists are sub-contracted, as needed, to complete psychological assessments for the GM Launch PAD program. All service providers are qualified to work with Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind children.
